When veiwing a property for the first time, or simply meeting your protential agent or Landlord, it is important that you maintain a polite and professional personality. Your character and the way you handle situations e.g promptly can make a big difference. 

 

• Finances:

The rental market can move very fast, therefore, it is essential that if your able to, to ensure that you have enough money read and set aside to pay for the first months rent and deposit. 

 

• Monthly budget:

Finances can get out of hand and difficult to manage, therefore, we recomend to anyone looking to rent to create a budget for each moth in which includes their bills, travel, food, rent e.t.c. This way payments dont get missed. 

 

• Tenancy:

Before signing your tenancy, ensure you read through it thoroughly, ensuring that you understand all the terms and conditions. This will prevent any tenancy breaches and issues down the line. 

 

• Communication:

When renting a property, it is important that you keep your Landlord or Letting agent in the loop if there is any problems with rent payments or probelms in the property itself. 

 

• Notice:

Landlords look for tenants that are reliable and polite. Therefore, if you provide a full notice, you are more likely to recive a good reference from them, which will help you in the long run. 

 

• Redirect all your post and update your addresses!

 

Overall, treat the home like your own and keep in contact.
