Cliftonville is known in Thanet for a range of activities and entertainment that goes on, and the 2 mile long Northdown Road.  Northdown Road contains a mixture of corporate shops such as Tesco and Boots and a number of family run specialist shops. There are also banks and building societies, several public houses and cafes, and many fast food takeaways.

Cliftonville contains an indoor, ten pin bowling alley and sports bar, tennis courts, a crazy golf course, Bowling Green and the famous Winter Gardens theatre. The Winter Gardens have held many events and shows, and a lot of famous people and bands such as Jim Davidson, UB40 and Example. You can also hire out the halls for local events such as local grassroots football presentations.

This picture above shows an incredible piece of artwork that was created in October 2013 by a british designer called Alex Chinneck. This is an example of how the 'contempory feel' has reached Cliftonville.
